We started 2024 with a major milestone: launching Bamboo Cloud apps on Xbox, LG Smart TVs, and Samsung’s Tizen. This expansion means your content can now reach even more viewers across multiple platforms, offering a seamless streaming experience on the devices your audience loves most.
Our goal has always been to help you grow your audience and meet your viewers wherever they are. With these new platforms, we’re excited to make that easier than ever!
Fresh New Looks!
In 2024, we introduced brand-new designs to our apps, specifically tailored to better support series and seasons. These updates not only enhance the visual experience but also improve functionality.
One standout feature is the updated user history, which makes binge-watching content more intuitive and enjoyable. Viewers can easily pick up where they left off and explore related content without hassle—offering a much more engaging experience.
Rebuilt iOS and tvOS Apps
We gave our iOS and tvOS apps a complete rebuild in 2024. The focus was on delivering better performance, stability, and an updated design to create a smoother and faster user experience.
This overhaul ensures that your viewers enjoy a top-quality app experience on every Apple device.
Introducing iFrame Bible Integration
We’re particularly excited about our new iFrame Bible integration for mobile apps. This feature is designed for faith-based communities, allowing viewers to engage more deeply by accessing the Bible right in the app.
It’s a powerful addition for churches, ministries, and organizations looking to provide a more enriching experience for their audiences.
Speakers, Cast, and Artists
We’re always listening to what our clients need, and this year, we introduced Speakers and Cast support to enrich your content. This feature enhances your user experience by giving your users the option to explore and follow content based on their favorite speaker/cast member/artist.
- Speakers: Perfect for educational content, faith-based videos, or conferences, this feature allows you to highlight speakers such as lecturers, pastors, and more.
- Cast: For movies and series, you can now display detailed information about cast members.
- Artists: For music content, give credit to the artists behind the tracks.
These additions give your users more context and connection to the content they love, making your apps feel more polished and professional.
Precise Auto-Recording
If you’re live-streaming content, accuracy matters. This year, we upgraded our auto-recording feature with precise start and stop controls, allowing you to capture exactly what you need—no more, no less.
This improvement is useful for Live-to-VOD content, ensuring that your on-demand videos are perfectly trimmed and ready for your audience.
External Video Links
One of the most flexible features we added in 2024 is the ability to play videos from external links in Bamboo Cloud apps (available on- Amazon Fire TV, Android, and iOS). This means you can store your content wherever it makes the most sense for you and still deliver it through your Bamboo app.
